I could sit here and say that to write a travel blog has always been a dream of mine; a keen poet and "natural writer" as described by my primary school teachers, a year abroad is the perfect excuse to burn the writer's oil! But I'll be honest with you-I am a few German beers in while writing this-the trigger point was an email concerning my application to become the university's new student blogger. They had rejected my well-written and quite frankly hilarious (if i do say so myself) post about my first trip to Berlin. Even the harshest critic known to mankind (my dad) cracked a few giggles while reading it, so by challenging my rarely-explored Scorpio energy, I've decided to embark on my own rival blog. Yes, I am that petty.
